Hello everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this:

After going over the manual again and again, I seem to be confused on this:

Can my HPX500 record 3 lavalier systems AND my onboard mic?

Meaning.. i CAN use all 4 xlr inputs without losing quality right?

Lets say my onboard shotgun mic is in FRONT1, and i put Lav Receivers on FRONT2, REAR 1, and REAR 2..

How exactly do i configure the audio input buttons that are located under the LCD screen of the camera? Where the monitoring buttons are.

Any help with this? please this is killing me. And since i can only monitor 2 channels unless im in playback, Im worried i might miss something.

Thanks again!

Correct. Plug in your shotgun to Front1, Lav Receiver on Front2, Rear 1, and rear 2. The 500 is a clean sounding camera in all 4 channels.
Turn off Phantom Power for your wireless lavs. The phantom power settings for 1,2 are located in the Menu>Audio Setup. Also adjust your levels from Auto to Manual and test.
You can monitor all 4 channels of audio, 1,3 or 2 and 4. See page 18 of the manual here ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/pub/panasonic/drivers/PBTS/manuals/OM_AG-HPX500.pdf
It's been awhile since I've used the 500, that's my video referenced above, as I recall there is also an audio level wheel below the lens too to watch out for. Double check that one as well.

At about 9:40 I briefly go into the audio set-up
