Holy Molten Magic Bullet Batman

So I decided to go back into my zombie film and rerender it, but this time us some of the magic bullet effects to sort of change the look. My original cut, like most things I do, came out looking completely washed out, and I am just not happy with the look of it. For a five minute short it ended up being a five hour render time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed this process up?

Well im a newbie myself on vegas so i guess im not the right one to answer.

But Vegas have something that can link computers togheter and shorten the render time.

will look in the manual and get back to you.

Right, well my 5 min zombie short takes about 28 hours to render to MPEG2 via 2 pass. Granted, I've got a bunch of other cc & FX, and MANY MANY audio/video tracks, and compositing, etc.

But still, I'd give me left arm for a 5 hour render right now.

Well....at the risk of sounding like a commercial, you could use Celluloid and David Jimerson's Film Looks....they render on average, 85% faster than does Magic Bullet.

Or indeed, use a network render, but for a 5 minute project, I doubt it's any faster, and maybe slower.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Using Celluloid would mean that my computer would be available to do other things sooner .... it would releave frustration, tension, extended periods of waiting. Why on earth would I want to do that.

Kidding. Of course I want it, and have even given short commercials about it myself in various threads when MB comes up ... just haven't gotten around to it, and as of late have had to wait for the next larger paycheck before extra expenditures.

But thanks!
