WAAT?!?!

...omgg...im moving to Bosnia...gas is low priced there....and theres no hurricanes...no terristic threats...no crazy people...and unfortunetly..no subway...as much i hate being there...id miss it.

WTH is the government doing about these prices??

Yeah I live in GA and that gas station is not far from my house... it was the only one in this area to go up that high... lol when then news crew was reporting it on the 5:00 there was a woman actually pumping gas there.... if she would have gone less than 1/4 mile down the road she would have found it for $3.09 that day.

Well, most government officials are laughing maniacally as they wait for their dividend checks to cut from their oil investments. The remaining few are laughing maniacally about the extra campaign contributions they can wring out of the oil lobby in return for refusing to legislate price caps.

glad you found that... I saw it on the news last week and told people about it and they didn't believe it... now I can send it to them..... hehe

Wow, I go out of the country for 2 weeks and all hell breaks loose. And I used to think that gas prices were cheap in Georgia!

Yeah that day was pure insanity around here -- though most near me didn't have any prices up at all because they simply had NO gas.

It's getting relatively better now -- $2.65 for the "cheap" stuff as of last night. Just need it to drop two more dollars. ;)

Look people. The government shouldn't 'DO' anything about gas prices. It isn't up to them. This is Free Market stuff. Mess with it, and you hurt yourself worse than if you just let it take its course.

Some of you remember the last time we had a 'gas crisis?' It took on a life of its own because we tried to impose price restrictions... and price restrictions always result in shorter supplies, which of course result in unavailability or higher prices.

As one online blogger recently opined, the reason we have gas shortfalls in some parts of the country is because gas station owners aren't gouging with sufficient gusto.
