Holy Crap!

So...

I take care of my computer. I defrag it, clean up the registry and so forth. So I go and download "WinXp Manager" (http://www.winxp-manager.com/)....

Holy crap! It's amazing what these programs can do. I honestly cleaned 5 gigs off by 75 gig hard drive with this program tonight - all of which were crap files! I mean this thing absolutely rocks! Definitely something to look into if you do video editing (as we all do I'm sure :D).

And here I thought I was doing pretty good. Wow. Anyone else use a similar program?

I have no doubt that there is. Windows seems to be especially messy though so I'm not sure it would have as great an effect. Windows logs all sorts of crap and then just leaves it sitting aroung never to be used again.

Those with WinXP - give this thing a whirl! The demo's free and fully functional. Maybe my computer was just really screwed up but man...

Looks cool. What's up with all the typos on the website? Makes me feel a little hesitant about the product when they misspell manager a few times.

You think thats bad, the software company i work for is all Russian. The damn alerts that pop up are misspelled. I have a folder full of things to fix screenshots. And check this out, its medical software that widely used on that equipment that most likely you have been connected to at one point in time if you are in the USA.

Yes, thanks Shaw. Downloaded and installed it. Made some major changes. Hopefully when I reboot everything will be ok and run much quicker. If you don't hear from me again, it's because something went horribly wrong with the reboot. Please call the US Embassy. Oh, and tell my parents I love them.

Ronik, there's a program for Mac called Spring Cleaning. I tried it but didn't like it much...it never gets very good reviews, either.

The damn alerts that pop up are misspelled.[/quote] ;DHehe - that reminds me how some years ago, at the company I worked at (in the US), a Russian guy was in charge of writing application security features... nothing against my Slavic brethren (well between them and the Germans, I don't know whom to distrust more - historically speaking, both are oppressors, no pun intended), but this guy was something else. According to him, the Dark Ages never happened - it's just a lapse in the human race's collective memory...

Did I mention his spelling/grammar?

Yet the firm was perfectly happy to entrust its flagship app's security to him. Go figure.

So tomorrow I am waiting for the thread of OH ****! Every PC DVXuser member's computer has the now infamous XP manager virus. Sorry it is just the first thought that came to my head when I read so many of you are downloading it. I hope it works for you all. I just get those thoughts whenever things sound too good. Bitter sleep deprived man going back to editing now. OVER
