Holiday poem

Here's a poem I wrote for my family this year. They inspire me every day. Hope you enjoy it.

The “I” in Family

At this time, when families gather
The tidings will be glad.
If we thank those who have helped us
Especially Mom & Dad

And though distance may be great
By choice or loss or bliss
The gathering can still happen
If your heart remembers this

Families are connected
Through blood or metal ties
That connection makes us stronger
We see through each others eyes.

We are judged by each others actions
Every sin a family stain
If the family is unhappy
We have only ourselves to blame.

Don't wait for festive seasons
Don't wait for days of birth
Tell your family that you love them
They’re the sum of what you're worth

Happy Holidays.
