ok so im goign to have a shot of a guy with a hole in his body, and some1 walking behind him and sticking his arm thru the hole. or try to at least.

Would shooting 1 shot of just the guy walking and sticking his arm through "the hole" with the other guy not there, then shoot a shot of the guy with the hole in his stomach but not the other guy, and fade the shots together work?

Well, as far as it goes in theory, this is how I would attempt it:

(1) Shoot guy without hole putting his hand through an "imaginary hole"

(2) Shoot guy with hole against greenscreen and where his hole is meant to be also a green colour

(3) chromakey out the guy against the greenscreen with the first shot as the background video.

(4) Rotoscope the latter part of the hand (the parts the may disappear behind the guy with the hole, if this does not make sense now, it will when you pull the key!

:)

Keep us updated.

Peace

I'd prefer to do that different way:

1) shoot the scene with both guys. Guy behind pretends to do the "hole" thing with proper body movement (I assume his hand is not visible i.e. the scene is shot frontally).
2) shoot the guy behind only, moving his arm through imaginary hole
3) rotoscope the hole and hand from scene 2 on scene 1.

Advantages: no green/blue screen required. Difficult area requiring precise rotoscoping will be limited to hole and arm. No chroma key problems will be visible on people, which usually attracts most of attention.
