seriously you need to explain. I nearly pooped myself when i saw that thing. i didn't even KNOW there were wild hogs down there...let along 1,000 pounders. How big do they normally get?

All I can imagine is pulling over to the side of the road to take a whiz and taking two steps into the woods to find a spot and seeing this thing staring back at me. Un-freaking-real.

They get freaking BIG and are NASTY animals.

They will mess you up unless you get them with the first shot.

Wild hogs are considered pests in Fl and TX and can be hunted without permit year around.

They do TREMENDOUS damage to crops down there.

They taste good, too!

these things almost never get this big and i've never actually seen a boar "in the wild".

as far as the photo goes, i think it's either photoshopped or staged to make the hog look bigger.

I think they just posed the kid some 5 feet behind Hogzilla to distort size and scale. Even so, the thing was measured at over 9 feet long from tip of snout to tail and weighed more than 1,000 lbs.

on another website they claim the boy is 5'5. no way is the photo accurate.

still though, a really large beast.

Ok, something about the sharp edges of the kid and the relative size of the hog scream Photoshop. Besides that, I wanna know how an 11 year old kid can handle the recoil of a 50 cal revolver. We're talking serious magnum power here. Not suggesting its impossible but would be unusual for an 11 year old to be able to shoot that more than once, hit something and hang on to it.

Yeah, the kid's kneeling with his arms resting on one knee.

Do they even taste good, when they're that old...?

I'm not hunting anything that size, unless I can bring a rocket launcher.

Good thinking...with one shot you can not only kill the animal, but butcher and cook it as well.

Mmm. Jerky.

Of course, I have better things to do than climb trees and search under rocks and through underbrush, in a 200-meter radius, for jerky-scatter...

The top picture Terry posted ^^ had me thinking, which one is the hogzilla, again...?

Really, people that shape should know better than to wear clothing with contour-lines on it.
