HMIs: operating temperatures

Anybody has experience of operating HMIs in below freezing temperatures? It seems - just like last year - after firing up 2 of my 575 heads in 10F (-12C) they stopped working. Anyone else has this experience?
 
I don't do a lot of shoots in sub zero cause it tends to make me cranky. But my mentor taught me to climatize lights to avoid condensation before striking. Also to scrim the HMIs when shutting down to avoid cracked lenses if cooled too quickly. Wish I could be more help Patryk.
