HMI Odd head and ballast question

I have had a DeSisti 575 Fresnel head sitting on the shelf for almost three years with no ballast. One of those, eventually I will find a good deal on a ballast...
I just bought an older mag LTM 575 ballast that is working and I should get it next week. I am assuming the head cable from the LTM and the one on the DeSisti will be differeint. Is an adapter possible or available?
Thanks

it should certainly be possible. You need to determine what pins on the ballast should mate with which ones on the head.

Unfortunately, I can't find a pin out of the LTM ballast.

I believe that the DeSisti is an Arri pin-out (I have seen them powered by Strand ballasts, which I think are Arri pin-out)

the third page of this PDF has the pin-outs for Arri heads. www.arri.de/?eID=registration&file_uid=6240

I've got quite a bit of this older HMI gear including Arri, LTM and Desisti. Jarrett's got you covered. When I have questions I call or email Gilbert here: http://galaxylightingrepair.com/ Those folks know everything about everything. :)

Thanks for the input, I have been to theri site and will certainly keep them in mind if it comes down to having an adapter cable made. My initial thought was along the lines of Jarrett's suggestion. I would get the pin-out info and connecotrs and make a cable to interconnect. I would prefer to do this rather than mod the head itself as it has its original head cable.
Good to know folks are still readin' and respondin'

The 575w LTM magnetic ballast will not work with the Desisti 575w head with or without a pigtail. The LTM mag ballast does not have an Ignition timing circuit (pin F) to ignite the 575w Desisti head (needed).

Thanks for the info. Is it possible to add this circuit to the ballast? Is it a board that can be purchased? Thanks for your help.
