HMC 151 (PAL) and Vegas 8.1

Hi
Vegas 8.1 (on Vista 64) don´t like panasonic MTS files they don´t even load properly to project media and on timeline there´s just audio.
Using UpShift and making m2ts of the MTS files load fine and show on timeline
BUT
Its double PAL (50) instead of the original 25p and plays at double speed with no audiosync.
If I open the same upshifted m2t file in Vegas 8.0 it plays normally and properties say its 25p!
If I UpShift a Canon HF100 MTS file to m2t it plays normal in Vegas 8.1 and properties says 25p ?!
Anyone else having trouble with Vegas 8.1 and Panasonic MTS files?

UPDATE
If I shoot 50 interlaced and upshift to m2t and load into Vegas 8.1
properties say 25p and it plays normal speed on timeline !?
Upside down!
