HITECH resin filters fall out of Formatt mattbox

Thanks in advance:

I invested heavily in Hitech resin filters but they're too thin to stay in the Formatt box. The Formatt has a set screw to hold in filters but the hitech are so thin its almost impossible to catch them with the set screw. I alreasy wasted a 1.2 ND Grad after it fell on the desert sand. I bought some Lee (I think) plastic frames that BH lists as an accesory for the Hitech filters but once installed on the hitech filters, they no longer fit at all (too wide).

Any solutions are greatly 'preciated,
Moe

Bump. The frames I bought were indeed Lee called "extension slides" and B&H thinks they should work (?) since they list them as an accessory for Hitech filters.

From B&H web:

"Lee Extension Slides for Hitech Filters
MFR# SLIDES
B&H# LEES
Lee Extension Slides for Hitech Filters - Attach to Both Sides of Hitech Filter and Increase Thickness to 2mm
[FONT=&quot]4 X 4" and 4 x 6" filters in the Lee System are 2mm thick. Another company that offers 4" wide filters is Hitech. Their filters are 1.5mm thick. These Lee adapters slide over the sides of a Hitech filter, increasing its thickness to 2mm."

If I slide them over both sides the filter is then too wide.

Thanks,
Moe

I believe formatt boxes were designed to hold formatt filters. You'll need to find a filter holder that fits into the boxes and then buy filters for that holder. I have yet to get close to enough money to start looking at filters myself so thats as much advice as i can give you.
