Hi, I'd like some advice on this matter if anyone doesn't mind.
I have a short film around twelve minutes that I am hiring a color corrector for. Nothing over the top in regards to complication, just some difference in color between some flashbacks, and then the overall color grading and what not.
I was wondering what the usual rate people here have seen colorists charge.
The second thing, is the trust issue I would like to know people's opinions/experiences on. For the colorist to do their job, I'll have to send them all the raw footage that I ended up using in the project, and will have a contract protecting any possible use of it to make a new edit without my permission and what not, as I did with the DP. I was just curious what people's experiences with this stuff is in relation to color correctors.
