high speed

Some amazing stuff! I love slow mo

I once saw super super slo mo. I think I was able to see a bullet pass by at a slow speed it was so fast. Then again I was a kid, and that bullet could have been a dart or something. But I wonder if anyone's done it fast enough that you could see a bullet at a nice slow speed.

Yeah I saw that before. But that's the slowest I've seen. The shot I remember as a kid was from some students, prob MIT or something, and the shot of the bullet was not only close up but maybe half or even less then the speed shown on that clip. I still think I must have thought it was something else.

But no, the shot I remember was a bullet going through a water balloon, and the water stood motionless for at least 5 or 6 seconds. Hmmm....

I've known about VR and their Phantom cameras for months, and am still baffled by all the people that don't know who they are. Especially all the people that are wet in the pants about Red. If I had plenty of $, I'd buy a Phantom. Read about their company, and cameras, you might agree.

Here's their mind blowing demo from NAB.

for what I hgave seen it must be a great camera (1fps to 1000fps) thats great. And the 500GB magazine lest you film for long time.
What I have not seen is the price.

I have just seen the video that made for nab and I have no words to describe it (really stunning).

Checked out the Phantom this week at Interbee. Very impressive images. 2k at 1-480fps anyone?

Yeah... I'm friends with a local production company/rental house owner, and he picked up a phantom. Well, he doesn't really have anyone that can operate it up to his standards, so he's asked me to come in a couple days a week so he can teach me the ins and outs, and ultimately be his cam op on various shoots with it.

Looking forward to it for sure... he'll let me borrow it anytime I desire free of charge:2vrolijk_08:

I'm thinking DVX festival with PHANTOM:love4:

great some love story in really high speed videography ( a kiss recorded in 1000fps), looking forward to it.

You have no idea how much I envy you. Relish and appreciate every second of this my friend, for you could still be doing crap video and working with some of the clueless idiots the rest of us deal with on a daily basis.
