Im new, Hi! :-) and was wondering if anyone had any tips for me while shooting football games? Good angles to get, how to get good picture quality, and any other things i should know about? Thanks in advanced...

How many cameras do you have at your disposal? What about tripods? How many crew?
What's the purpose of the footage? Just to have?

Usually highschool pressbox's let you camp out on top of their building, for the high angle. If you've got another camera, get it down on the sidelines (the same side the ariel camera is on), and follow the action with that.

Are you making video to be used by the coaching staff? If so the high angle is the way to go. If you have a relative playing that you want to make a college highlight tape for its quite a bit tougher. The dvx stock doesn't have enough zoom capability to get close enough to the action except when its on the near sideline. If your going to be doing a lot of games that Century Optics zoom adapter is probably in your future. I'm considering it myself to get some better wildlife shots. Good luck with the football season, Friday nights under the lights are hard to beat.
