High Res Image Capture?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has found a way to capture high resolution images through Vegas. I have someone that wants to capture a single frame and save it as a high res jpg. The image capture from the preview window only captures low res. Any help is appreciated.

The best you can do is set your preview window to "Best" quality, then take your still.

I always just use the print screen method. Press, print screen with your vegas window open and quality on best, open photoshop or other photo editing program, make a new file, size should allready be set, press paste, and viola, lossless reproduction.

Remember, DV is fairly low-resolution. It's 720x480 (which is lower-res than VGA). Taking a still out of Vegas will give you that resolution; you'll have to uprez with a different program (like Photozoom).

You'd have to do the same with scharky's method if you want something bigger.

Set your project setting to HD 720 or 1080 and then preview at best full, save as png file type. JPG only if you really need to.
