High Quality HD Digital Master

I'm just looking for people's advice and opinions on this topic. What do you think is the best way to make the highest quality digital master (so an avi or mpeg etc etc) of a film shot on HD?

The Cineform codec is pretty awesome. Small sizes, really good playback and its all in an avi wrapper.

i have cs3 so i dont have much need for cineform - how bout a simple adobe media encoder high quality blu ray-dvd export?

You said you needed a good way to master your HD material. For the price/performance ratio Cineform offers it can be used for much more then an intermediate codec.

I would choose Cineform any day over some Mpeg-2 compression for blu-ray.
