High power fans for a music video.

I'm shooting a music video and I'm trying to find a way to blow massive amounts of paper at the band, the wind blasting on the band too. Anyone know of something a rental service (not a film one) might have? Basically, I need lots of wind at a high power.

Home Depot maybe...... or find someone that works in a warehouse because they tend to have the big fans to cool off the large space.

Most camera rental houses also rent studio fans. At least here in L.A. Dont know about LA.

THIS is what you are looking to rent. Call your rentals houses, I'm sure they have them.

Edit: Just noticed you said "not a film one". Why not?

Here is another option. But MUCH less control. That second fan will be CRAZY loud.

If audio is important you could remotely place the fan and attach a tube of some kind to the end and run that to the set (you would most likely get a decrease in speed output though.), so then all you have to do is treat it like a normal windy day when it comes to audio (zepplin/windscreen.) and not have to worry about the fan motor. But seeing how its a music vid. I'm assuming any audio recorded would be ref. only anyway.

P.S.: If you do use a tube, make sure you put it on before you turn on the fan.
(This is just to make sure if anybody else reads this and goes and does it, they don't cut off fingers.lol. I don't wanna be held responible for medical bills.)

That fan w/the tube seems like it'd work great. The reason I exclude "film" rental houses is because, well, there aren't any around here. I hope the rental places around here have something like those. I figure 2 or 3 should do it.

Party and tool rental places also have fans for rent. I rent my fans from the same place as I get the pressure washer. They rent power tools and augers and wood chippers and all the stuff you need once a year or lifetime so its cheaper to just rent it.
