Wow. Please tell me this was the same writer who did secret window. I thought this movie was HORRIBLE. Dakota Fanning, although very talented always playes the same damn role. A young girl who is well beyond her age in maturity/intelligence. Why don't they make her a retard in a movie. Anyways, I can't believe DeNiro agreed to be a part of this mess. I think I also spotted some continuity errors.
 
I really liked this movie, I think the acting was Very good, I would recomend it as a good Thriller.
 
I think the end scene was all too dark...you couldn't see anything but black... :lipsrseal

I hate it when a movie starts out truly terrifying, and then cops out by essentially turning into a monster movie. When we didn't know who "Charlie" was, he was scary - once we found out, it took away all of the fear.
 
yeah, i agree, though i really enjoyed the suspense for the first 3/4th's of the movie, they revealed the bad guy too soon, it should have been pushed back.

I also agree that Dakota Fanning was type casted here. This **** always happins and it gets old real quick. But what do you expect? Hollywood is afraid to cast new actors in big blockbuster hits, cause they think no one will show up to see it if they dont see anyone they know in the trailer.

rediculous, i think the viewer deserves alittle more credit then that.

I agree. The last 15 mins seemed like it followed a Hollywood handbook for endings. A ten yr old could have guessed every scene following the revealing of Charlie.
 
Movie starts-
"man i bet this is gonna suck"

min 10-
"damn this is moving slow"

min 30-
"eh, i guess it's kinda good so far"

chick gets pushed out window-
"damn, mabye there IS a charlie..."

boom: robert deniro IS charlie-
"............GAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!"
 
Man this flick was predictable. I knew who charlie was from the start. First movie I ever rented that I almost ask for my money back. Poor movie making in my opinion. Oh did I say I did not like this movie!
 
Ok ..my daughter and I watched the movie . We both thought it was good .I thought Robert Deniro did an excdellent job . I know this was a different role for him BUT hey I never agreed with Sikel and Ebert either . Two thumbs up !!!
