HF200 ghosting and blurring? help.

So I bought a HF200 a while back and everytime I've shot snowboarding (pretty much all this camera is used for) my footage is blurry and has artifacts. Basically looks horrible. I shoot in 60i and even if i use a high shutter speed 1/250 I still seem to have the same problem. On the editing side I usually compress it to HDV 720 or H.246 720 so that my computer can handle it. Here is an edit I made where you can see my problem, hopefully someone can help.

what format were you shooting in? 1080i60 ?

how did you do your conversion? what software? what did you used to edit? interlaced resizing can be tricky, some software doesn't handle it properly. what format did you convert to? 720p/i ?

at what stage did you see problems? from the conversion to your editing intermediate 720 (i/p) ?, exporting, or only on vimeo?

what format did you upload to vimeo?

what kind of deinterlacing? e.g. did you use blend deinterlace ? that would explain the ghosting

yea it is 1080i60. i converted it to hdv 720p, with toast converter. The ghosting seems to be there after converting it. The original stuff you can just see like a shadow on motion(looks like there are two objects overlapping almost) not multiple artifacts. I never deinterlaced the footage because I don't know any programs that can deinterlace AVCHD.

When you convert 1080i60 => 720p60 or 720p30 you are deinterlacing and resizing.

Since you have ghosts right after that stage it sounds like you are blend deinterlacing.

Since you are using toast, it sounds like you are on a mac, sorry I can't help any farther since I'm unfamiliar with the workflow

right, definately deinterlacing issue. Don't know Toast either, best search internet for deinterlacing options or try deinterlacing with another prog.
