There is a DC input socket in the battery compartment, it has the same function as the battery adapter plate. The guys discuss making your own cable in the http://www.dvxuser.com/cgi-bin/DVX2/YaBB.pl?board=Links;action=display;num=1101230619 thread. If you are not good with a soldering iron and an ohmmeter, you can order the cable from us http://dolgin.net/DCConverterPan.htm model DE8722

I already made a temporary DC cable that uses that 7.2 input on the DVX but I would feel safer if it was a locking plate. As for the 12 volt converter that is very interesting.
i have the dolgin engineering 12v adapter. nice unit. i use the DVX sometime to do live shots for fox where there is a dedicated 4-pin xlr 12v source. just plug in the box and then the DVX and good to go. exactly what i was looking for when i was looking for it! ;D
I dont know about you guys but it would be great to have a cable the has few docking plates strung along it so I can plug in all of my batteries to it to charge them all at the same time but with just one charger (thoughs things are pricey). Helpful when you just want to go to sleep and wake up the next morning for the shoot with all of the batteries charged and ready to go. Otherwise your on battery watch duty remembering to swap them out one by one all day (or worse night) long.
