Name's Prestige. So this is THE place to be if you are an aspiring filmmaker/videographer, which is what I am. Just started up my own event video production service this time last year, and am potentially gaining funding with my own money as well as money from The Prince's Trust.
I am expecting around £3,500 from the Trust, but with my own money, i've managed to do a few low key events using just my 35mm prime on a Nikon D3200 and a Rode Rycote shotgun mic with okish results. Just brought a 11-16mm Tokina too which i'm putting to the test soon
But with the 3 and a half grand, i'm planning on getting a full frame SONY A7S with a metabones adapter. Then Sigma 70-200, a 35mm, a Tascam audio recorder with lavier mics and I believe that should get me up and running for quality productions.
Anyways, this seems like a very helpful forum and I look forward to participating.
