is anyone developing a newer widescreen adapter for the dvx100b or is the AG-LA7200G going to be the only one available.

I think the Panasonic adapter is likely going to be the only one. Century had experimented with making their own, but the $2,000 proposed price tag, combined with the introduction of squeeze mode, has probably caused them to re-examine the viability of such a product. So I think the LA-7200G is likely to be the only one. There's one from Optex that can sort of be used in a very, very, very, very limited zoom range, but given the issues that the Panasonic one has, I don't know how someone would work with even more restrictions.

The panasonic does offers an adaptor as you already know, ag-la7200g.

it runs around $700.00, the main compaint is the deth of field (dof).
Sometime it is hare to tell a story without dof, but not impossible.

Several dvx users have make comments on how to minimize the effect, lighting, slight zoom in and stop down, etc.

I used letterbox and squeeze and see a difference with the adapter.

I can highly recommend and using it gives great results..

Thats cool for me and other adapter owners.... it means that when Andromeda is available for PC and I can buy it that I can recoup some expense on the sale (not too much of a decrese in resale) on my ana lense.

I wonder.... before the 100b was released I noted a slight decrease in the ana lense price... has it now stabilised with a BRAND NEW CAMERA being released possiblylifting demand for the lense again?
