hesitate between manfrotto 500 and 502

Hi,
i bought a manfrotto 502.
It is incredible for smooth and pan But it is a bit heavy.

I think of buying the 500 since it is lighter.
Is it as good for camera movements ?

Define good?

It is roughly half the weight of the 502HD but neither are true fluid heads offering smooth precise movements.

FWIW, I have always thought the 502HD was a pretty light head weighing just under 4 pounds.

My main head weighs 8.7 pounds.
 
do you see a noticeable difference in terms of smooth precise movement between the 500 and 502 ?
Would you rather have a 502 compare to a 500 if you had to choose between those 2?
I don't think i can afford a more expensive fluid head for now
