Hero

I watched it last night. I'm a not big Wire-Fu fan . . .

But while watching this, I couldn't help but think: what a absolute TRAVESTY it would have been if it had been shot in 60i.

I like Mariah Carey's version of Hero. OMG I love that song! I feel like a diva now.

Com'on David, don't hate! I wouldn't mind directing a film like Hero.

You guys missed the point. I'm not a fan of the genre, but I thought this was beautifully shot, and a splendid example of something that just wouldn't have been the same if it had been shot in 60i instead of the 24 fps of FILM, and it would have been a damn shame. For anyone who thinks it doesn't make a difference, I give you this film.

Jubal28, a lot of films wouldn't have been and look the same shot in video 60i.:embarasse:

Yeah, well, that’s pretty much what I’m saying. But if you want to point to an example of something which would REALLY lose something if not shot in 24fps, “Hero” is as good as any.

I'm not into the Wire-Fu genre. It worked in The Matrix and a few films I have seen but I typically feel removed from the piece once they start 'flying around' all over the place. I suppose like most genres you either love it or hate it?

I have to agree with David. 60i would suck. In fact; I hate 60i.

Yeah, I'm not sure what everyone thinks I'm saying. "Hero" is a gorgeous movie which makes the case for 24p all by itself. Am I wrong?

I agree. It was/is beautiful. The storyline might be lacking but it was beautiful to watch. Besides, I love kungfooey movies.
