I watched the original version of this movie about a year ago and it's amazing. I love "wire-fu"; and swordplay. This U.S. release looks really good compared to the VCD I was watching it on!
So is this where Tarantino ripped his idea for KB, because in this isnt it something like: A man seeks revenge on the people that murdered his village and he kills 3 assassins to get there...

Yes/no?[/quote]
No. This film more or less ripped off Rashomon.
Kill Bill was influenced by the old Kung Fu and Western movies.
When I say it ripped off Rashomon it's just told in the same style as it. There are three different conflicting stories. Ying xiong is a beautiful film though.

I don't consider him to be a ripper. He's more of a name dropper. He rips off things then drops the name of where he saw it. Yes he still rips it off, but at least he admits it.
I personally applaud Tarantino for doing what he does. Everybody rips off *something*...if we didn't there'd be no point in watching other movies. Tarantino's stuff is original *because* it blatantly rips things off. Few directors openly do that 8)
