Here's Something You Don't See Every Day...

Sad Max

Artful Dodger

...a cargo ship dumping its load after a collision off the coast of India.

Hope no one's awaiting a shipment of hardware offa that ship...

I'm no expert, but I wonder what it could have collided with to cause that kind of damage? It's friggin huge and visibility looks pretty decent.

As a wreck diver. I've read a few accounts of collisions at sea...there's a lot of "Let the other guy turn, I've got the right of way here" going on.

Yeah. Combine that with ships that take miles to stop or make a turn to begin with, and...

...*CRUNCH*.

We were only a couple of hundred miles West of San Francisco in the recent Pacific Cup when we got in a bit of an argument with one of these guys...sailing vessels have the right away, but the freighters are a lot bigger, it can be a bit nerve wracking...

I always ask myself... what happens with all those parcels that vanish deep into the ocean or get burnt in a traffic accident..........
