How does it compare to the Manfrotto ones? If I am shooting a low budget feature this summer will this do fine as my primary tripod head or should I invest in a manfrotto as well? They make the Hercules seem very good and smooth in the description. To be clear I will already have this one to use with the crane. So it would save me some money to be able to use this with both and just put it on some normal legs for my non crane shots.

What do you think.

Thanks guys.

"Originally designed specifically for use with our Kessler Crane®, the “Hercules 2.0” now has panning drag control and with an optional quick plate* is an excellent head to mount your camera to, when not using your crane."

I would also like to know how well it measures up to this bit of copy. Same situation.

we like ours.. we just use our k-pod for stick shots then slap the crane on for crane shots.
i have used both and with a heavier camera up top, i love the kessler because i can adjust the tension without having the head shake all over the place.
