Hercules 2.0 tripod head

Can't wait. Next week ill have enough cash to purchase a Hercules 2.0 tripod head. Before i do this i wanted to get any info of a product that is cheaper but just as strong? Anyone know of any strong 50 plus weight capacity tripod heads for less than $400.00?

Nah, the Herc is king for strength at that price. Note that it isn't really a fluid pan head, it is really more made for crane use. It is pretty smooth for what it is.

i was going to use this on the camera end of my ezfx jib. the ezfx jib doesnt attach to the tripod using a head like the kessler crane systems. do you think ill have bad motion with this on the crane and normal tripod use. my cam setup weights 20 lbs.
 
A 20# cam rig deserves a pretty serious head. In that price range, you aren't going to find much that will handle the weight, so from that point of view, the Herc is a great value. It will serve the purpose, but the panning performance isn't going to match a $2000 fluid type.

There are numerous ways to attach things to the Herc head, are you certain there are no adapters to make this work, it probably will.
