Got a buddy that made it to the ONT THE LOT SHOW.. Just shot a short for the show in 480 24P mode (recorded on P2 card)

WE REALLY need help.. We imported the clips and each one needs to be rendered (RED LINE RENDER).. OR we change the sequence settings (below) and then we dont need to render, but the clip has a border around the entire frame (still letter box, just a border also around the LEFT and RIGHT side of frame)

1-Is it possible to import a P2 clip and not import it properly?
if YES
How do I need to RE-import these clips? what settings? we've tried many and..

2-when imported into the timeline they have these horizontal lines on them..

What should my sequence setting be set to?
I have it set to: DV NTSC 48kHz - 24
Capture was set to the same.

PLEASE HELP!!

THANK YOU!!!

Just an idea off the top of my head. Haven't seen this myself. But is it possible that you recorded using the DVCPRO (ie the DVCPRO25) codec instead of the DV codec?

If so, there is probably no easy setup and you'll have to create a customized one.

Best of luck with it.

IF you recorded 24p (not 24p Native or Advanced) then you need to edit using a 29.97 timeline.

It may be a DVCPRO issue..... if you recorded using DVCPRO50 then you will get the render bar above everything if you are trying to use it on a DVCPRO timeline.

In the media manager, scroll over and check the framerate of the clip.. and make sure they make the timeline.
