Help...

I've been reading and reading and I am not planning on stopping anytime soon (actually ever)
but I thought I'd ask a few questions and see what you guys would do with my current budget.
Do you guys thing this is a good versatile package idea (once I get the fresnell) or would
you start up differently?

So far I didn't spend a dime of my gaffer/grip/electric budget... right now I have about $2,300
but that must include other expendables and the pieces for two china balls and an extra C-stand
for my laptop (DVrack), so I'll spend about $700 on this stuff:

_ canned-air and 2 refills ($50)
_ lens tissue 100 pk. ($8)

_ tape blk + wht ($22)
_ duvetyne 5-yards ($35)
_ light socket x 2 ($15)
_ socket dimmer x 2 ($15)
_ Y-Splitter x 2 ($10)
_ China balls x 4 ($20)
_ bulbs 100W x 6 ($66)
_ C-Stands x 3 ($360)
_ Gels... CTOs

Well you get the picture...

So maybe with the rest I could go for three of these COOL LIGHTS (two 2 x 55W and
one 4 x 55W) wich put out an equivalent of about 500W and 900W respectively, and
Rich said he is making a dimmable version of these! By about April though, hopefully
I'll beta them earlier! Upgrade kits could be around $150 (ONLY AN ESTIMATE, NOT HIS
WORDS) so if I order them and later upgrade I'd be getting them for a total of $1300.
I don't want to waste money on two sets of ballasts, so I am considering waiting for
the dimmable version. I will get the 5600K bulbs and CTO gels to warm up he light for
the indoor lighting look.

Then I reading that that my next step should be getting a fresnel or an other hard light
of sorts to create shadows with... Perhaps one of the Metal Halide "HMIs" that Rich from
Cool Lights said he is thinking about making...

I am not mentioning a small eye-light, but that is doable for little money...

Please help me so I don't regret my desitions later!
I have nothing of my own right now, so I am looking for versatility.
