Help with this effect

Can somebody guide me on this? I know that this is speeded up, and that there are frames dropped. Is there an easy way to do that, or do you need to go in and cut them out individually?

The video plays in the bottom portion of the screen.

Thanks.

to me it just looks like the footage was speed up like 200% or if you had the HVX then shot at 2fps. Then as for frames being droped I think they are just cut out off the time line to ad a jump effect. So you chop out 2 framems and then put it back together and you have a jump effect

Try STROBE in FPC. You should probably speed up your video first, then apply the STROBE filter. The STROBE filter essentially skips frame of video.

yeah "speeded" is definitely knot a werd.

neither is "werd"

it looks to me like shaky handheld footage sped up and a motion blur applied. maybe a strobe as well but it looks to me the jumpy effect is from the handheld aspect of it....

do some tests walking around your house and try it...

Try "Blink" Put your video on two tracks, and apply the "Blink" to the top one and experiment.

looks like RevisionFX Twixtor in AE with some tweaking. Those strobed looking frames look like vector mask interpolation in Twixtor. Or, it could be a number of things in FCP
