Help with tele lens please

I recently found this 2x tele lens on ebay:

I'm wondering if it would work ok on a dvx? The thread is 72mm so should it attach directly to the dvx's filter thread? I tried contacting the seller twice but no reply to the question of attachment. However they did reply about the weight which is 1.1 pounds. The century optics 1.6 tele is 26 oz (heavier). The brand name is "Advance Digital" and it sells for $110. Any helpful opinions or anyone know of other cheap tele lenses around they could recommend? Thanks.
 
Stay far far away. I hope that wasn't you that did the buy it now.
I remember Jarred bought one of those $100 tele lenses, and all it did was make it look like you were looking through a barrel at an image no larger than without the lens.
 
Thanks for that Stefan. I wasn't after anything with too much quality as I like to use distorting effects in the computer and thought I'd use the telephoto more as another "effect". However I wansn't aware lenses could be quite that bad! Best wishes.
