I am shooting a music video and I am looking to get that muted gray look. What are the best setting to get that look. The music vidoe is kind of gothic so I want that dead pale look.

Tone down color saturation (chroma), and use pedestal between -6 and -10. Change your color temperature one notch towards the blue side if you wish. Don't shoot colorful elements, make sure your wardrobe and locations are almost 'colorless" - it's more important than any camera setting. Shoot some tests and see what you like. There isn't such thing as "excessive" testing.
