Help with school speech!

Hey guys!
I'm going to have this speech in school on monday. And I'm totally out of ideas.
I really would like to speak about something with film and filmmaking.

Someone got some good topics to share?

Thanx in advance!

I realize there’s not much time left but here goes, this is just an outline you will have to do the work of putting it together into a kick butt speech.

Ok heres your angle;

The democratization of Storytelling

Our ancient ancestors found their voices huddled around the campfire, within its protective glow they shared a commonality through stories and histories that helped them establish a community and an identity. Each member of the circle could speak, each voice was heard.
Down through the ages the forms have altered and become more specialized, paintings music and sculpture conveyed the story, but the skills required were more and more exclusive only the most talented would be heard.

The latest step in this process was the advent of film making, a field so specialized that the credit reel alone of a modern film contains a dizzying array of unique jobs and titles that are not found in any other industry.

That’s your set up then, . . .

Talk about the Thomas Edison and the Black Dalia. Edison completely controlled the film making process, no one else could do it, and his was the only voice.
The camera was so big that they didn’t move the camera they moved the actors

Lumier Brothers and other film making efforts
Smaller cameras meant more people could put their own brand of storytelling out there.
Great train robbery blagh blagh blagh
Battleship Potempkin Blagh Blagh Blagh
Bicycle Thief Blagh blagh Blagh

However, even though film became more accessible to more people, the expense and specialized knowledge required still kept it out of the hands of most people.

Digital revolution
This 100 year old technology will one day be replaced as cameras improve.
Cameras like the DVX with its cinlike mode are already threatening the old guard of film

28 days Later Blagh blagh Blagh
Art History Blagh blagh Blagh

Now everyone has a camera, with a basic computer setup and camera anyone can tell their story.

Then wrap it up with something profound sounding like. . .

“But when everyone has a voice, who will be listening?”

I gave a speech last year about how I got into filmmaking, and where I'm taking it.

But Mythfit basically wrote a damn speech for ya, so maybe go with that.

I had to write a paper about a piece of art that influences me, and I wrote about motion pictures as a whole. I started off with a history, then moved to current time and the artistic aspects of film, and then I move to the future of motion pictures. It's a good topic to write on, especially since it's something we all care about so much
