Help with purchasing camera system

I posted in the Panasonic 200 forum but see a lot of people like the sony as well or more.. I edit in Final Cut Pro X (which I know is not as good as studio but they discontinued studio) and need a format that is readily and easily recognizable by that program.

Below is a video of what we do and what I am trying to duplicate with my purchase. If this is in the wrong forum admins please feel free to move it, I am new and haven't navigated all forums properly yet. I am not trying to produce the next deadliest catch but also want it look as pro as possible.... Thank you in advance.

 
I reckon the HMC150 would fit your needs. Or if you want to spend more money then the EX3.

If money is not your problem go for the HPX250, it has AVC-Intra 100 Mb/s (10-bit 4:2:2) on P2 cards as a recording media, the HMC150 won't give you the same quality, but the price of the camera and recording media may attract you. my 02 cents.
 
Yeah I can't afford the 250 at this point... but I notice the 150 recommended.. is this better than the 200A? Or if I have the money for a 200A I should go that route... thanks again for all the help.
 
Get the 200a if you need to shoot BOTH on MiniDV tape and P2. If you just want HD, then don't get the 200a, get the HPX170.

Though any P2 camera, you have to factor in a bunch more money for the P2 cards. If you want to shoot 4 hours of raw footage in a day on P2, you'll have to put down nearly $3k just for the P2 cards.

The HMC150 has the exact same CCDs as the 200a & HPX170 so the picture will be the same, but shoots to much (much, much, much, much....) cheaper SDHC cards. There are other differences between AVC HD (AVCCam) & P2 & easily searchable.

I'd also look at the Sony EX1R, Canon XF300, JVC HM700 (7##, ) & Panasonic HPX370. There is good info around for all those cameras.

If you don't have all the accessories & a limited budget, I'd go for the HMX150 since it is a very good price vs the other cameras & then use the rest of the money for a good tripod (Vinten or Sachtler), microphones (Lectrosonics wireless are my personal favorite but the Sennheiser G3 are a good value & the cheapest you should go), lights, etc. etc. etc.
