Help with .mts files

Hi all.

I have received a hard disk with 17 .mts video files. This files where recorded with a Sony HDV camera. I want to edit this videos with Final Cut Pro 6.01 but when i try to use the log and transfer option it says "00045.mts" has invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches the supported media.

I don't have anything but the .mts files can i do anything to recreate the original directory structure?

Can you find out the specific camera model so we can point you in the right direction?
