Hi, could you help me on the masking yrchnique of an objrcy on gtont of a text?
For example i have my title of the film and i would like to have the guy who s walking behind the text, would me covered by the letters of the text, thank yuu

I think your fingers were off the home keys there. :)

Are you saying you want the character to walk in FRONT of the text? Walking behind the text is easy; you just use text with a transparent background and put it over the footage, so I assume you mean in front.

I would use a bezier mask and mask the text. To animate the mask, you use keyframes on the Mask timeline in the pan/crop window. You mask out the first frame, skip ahead to the next frame, change what you need, and so on. Sometimes you can skip frames and the tool will do the work for you -- but for something like this, it's probably going to be mostly frame-by-frame.

Yep, you'll probably need to set the mask frame-by-frame to look good, which can be a whole lot of work.

Unless you can reshoot the scene with the actor walking in front of a greenscreen or similar?

Hi,
strange thing: on the preview of my cell phone there weren't all these errors when i was typing!LOL sorry!
