Help with Mic'ing a Dance Instructor

Hey all ,

I'm going to be shooting a salsa dance instruction video and was trying to find out the best way to mic the instructor. It's only going to be a one man crew and i'm trying to minimize motion noise. I currently have an Oktava Mk012 and G2 wireless set with the included Lav. I was looking online at some of those headset mic like this one

or this one

or this one

or this one

or even this one

So you can see my dilema. There are so many different ones to choose. Also I see this mic has to be specially ordered so it might not get here in time.

Now as far as my budget I'm willing to spend 300 or 400 dollars for one of the mics if its worth that much more in quality then say a cheaper one. Any help that can be offered is much appreciated.

Oh also I tried to search for Headset Mics and didn't really get anything about these specific mic in the threads.

The only one of those mics I would even consider would be the Countryman E6. It is essentially (without studying the specs in detail) a B3 or maybe a B6 (hard to tell) on a headset. You can look up both of these mics here - they come highly recommended. If you need it faster, you can try calling Countryman direct.

Hey, you should check out www.bswusa.com The radio station I work for gets most of their equipment from there, as do I.

The prices vary. I got my at4073a from B&H for 50 bucks cheaper.
I got a pair of sennheiser wireless lav sets for 50 bucks less (each) at bsw

Check them out, if nothing else they have a humongous selection, and you can find some stuff that interests you and look at the specs, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm going to call countryman on Monday and see how fast they can get it out to me but I might have to go with the At892 because BH gets things to me in 1 shipping day because of my location.

If anybody has anymore suggestions let me know,

Thanks
