Help with Lighting purchase?

Okay, so I am shooting at a local club which is obviously very dark when I need to shoot. It wouldn't be practicle to set up light kits because it is going to be full of people. That being said, I am leaning towards an on camera light.

I am looking to spend no more than $300 if possible. Are there any suggestions on what I should get?

By the by, I will be shooting actors in this "live" environment. Audio is already taken care of, but after test shoots, lighting is my current concern.

Thanks.

Re: Help with Lighting purchase?

If you're shooting in a small area of the club, but could see if you could hang lights from the ceiling using mafer clamps. For $300 you rent several light kits and clamps. This would require getting in the club ahead of time and rigging the lights. Now if you're moving all over the place, then that probably won't work.

EVS only special orders Bescor.[/quote]
Hi DW, I think it will be an okay price, if we get them instock as a regular part for sale in the future. :)

Emperor, we also have the PAG-C6 instock: http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=1001, DVXuser price is currently $329, but both regular and DVXuser price is going up in two days, because these get imported from UK. :(

Re: Help with Lighting purchase?

Rush how do the PAG C-6'S stack up against the Bescor or Frezzi Mini Fill?

I'm looking for on camera lighting but not sure if I should jump on the PAG C-6 now due to the price increase.

Thanks.
