Help with keyframes!

I dont know what the heck is going on because I have done this before with no problems.

I have a clip that I have scaled down to a smaller size that I am going to fly it across the screen. At a certain point, I want the clip to distort to another size/look. So I set my keyframes accordingly. Well for some strange reason when i play the clip back it ALWAYS starts from what it should look like when its finished! Its like its keyframing everything in reverse. I am trying to go from a small clip and stretch it to fill one complete side of the screen. Its starting as the full size clip then ends up being the small clip!

You may have set your first key frame before you resized your image.

This has happened to me before and can be a pain to sort out.

If it is a relatively easy path to rebuild I recomend that. If not, find where in the build it goes crazy and clear the keyframe. Sometimes you can build over the existing path.

good luck with it.

Ive tried it both ways and it does it everytime. I park the playhead at the first frame of the clip that I want motion to happen and set a keyframe. Then I would adjust the clip by using the distort tool and then move the playhead ahead a few frames and repeat the process. That is one way I did it. The other way is I made the adjustment first then set a keyframe, went back and made some adjustments and added another keyframe and so on. No matter which way I did it, when I played it back it always starts from what I wanted as the end result. After everytime I looked at it, I cleared all the keyframes and started over only to get the same results!

I was setting keyframes in the Distort area since I was changing the shape of the clip. The clip was already scaled down to where I wanted it.
