Planning on getting in on the RODE NTG-3 + blimp + pole combo from dvcreators and was just wondering if i could hear your thoughts on the three boom poles offered with the deal. Pros vs cons, etc.

I'm certain, I will get some responses that this shouldn't be my only pole, but the deal is good, and the pole is free (via another thread). Hope some of you have used these and have opinions.

K-Tek KE110CC

Go with the 110CC... its the longest one and will be the most useful, thats the one i ordered with this deal

Go with the KE110CC

I've got the KE89CC. It works well for interviews and most other things. However, there are many times when an extra 1' or more would come in handy. If the boom is to long you can always pull it back, if it's to short there isn't much you can do.

thanks. Got the longest pole. Just got shipping confirmation. Waiting for my email with serial number to get the blimp

The longest one seems to be the heavy favorite by far, however for those of you without a dedicated sound guy or boom opp, the KE79CC is a great 'backpacking' alternative, as it condenses down to 22" which fits in most camera bags or backpacks. Only goes out to just under 8', but is also internally cabled. Just another thought.
