Help with exporting

First let me say I'm relatively new to digital editing as I cut my teeth editing on film, therefore I don't know any of the technical names for this stuff.

Anyway, I shot an audition video on a 1 chip mini DV camera (standard Best Buy Canon). I captured into Premiere Pro 1.5 and did my edit, then exported to mpeg2.

Before exporting the video played fine, but after exporting there is flutter and flicker in the frame whenever the actor moves. Any ideas of what could be causing this and hot to fix it?

Rob,

if you right click on each clip of video you will see a drop down menu appears. click on "Field Options" and choose "Flicker Removal." you say you shot an interview, so im guessing you don't need to check "Frame Blend Speed Changes." if you change the speed of the clip, then you want to check this box as well. try exporting your project again and see if that fixes things!

Okay, that fixed the flicker, but now when I put the video into DVD Architect to author it I get what I can only describe as a stutter. It's like the video has a hiccup going on. Any thoughts?

Thanks a ton for the help tripleAAA

I dont know about DVD Architect. I use Adobe Encore. Maybe you've figured it out by now, it sounds to me like you are having a frame drop, number of frames issue. That's just a guess though. I'm glad you fixed the flicker problem! Let me know how things turn out.
