Help with Eurorack hookup

Hooking Eurorack MX 602A to computer using Edirol UA-1A as a USB interface to record VO into Vegas.
No problem minitoring mic signal at mixer.
But can't get signal onto Vegas timeline.
Checked under audio tab in Vegas capture,---UA-1A shows up along with SoundMax as options,---but both are greyed out.
Any ideas on what I may be overlooking here.
 
you basically want sound coming from your computer to your mixer right?

did you make sure all drivers were installed correctly with your UA? I'm not familar with Vegas and its sound settings. When you load Vegas, is your UA turned on?

Yeah,---figured that out.
Got serttings straight,---and am able to record signal onto Vegas timeline.
Now,---how to monitor?
Coming out of UA into mixer,---but signal in phones very week,---and noisy when cranked up.
 
I think you might want to invest in a better product. The Ua1a sucks! I just realized what it was. You know they totally discontinued this product. If you can't afford a better sound card or an audio USB then what you can do, well first of all what kind of sound card do you have? If you have like a LIVE card, get yourself a mini male to RCA male and plug that directly to your eurorack.

What think of M-Audio cards?
Maybe one of those and the Behringer?
Or,---get M-Audio external card with firewire?
Lots more but nice too.
Still wouldn't mind finding a use for Eurorack,---maybe field mixer.

What's your budget and intentions with it? Is this just for monitoring what your editing? You want to score you own music one day?
 
Mainly for VO work. I do my own for me for others.
In addition do some radio docs as well as video both using Vegas.
But, I am certainly NOTa musician by an stretch.
Played sticks in rythmn band, but was relieved of triangle only seconds into first performance.
Anyway,---can spend a bit for the right device.
