Help with duplicating sound and syncing sound

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help me with this. Am new to After Effects.

I have a sequence of camera stills and want to have a camera shutter click sync with each change in photo. I imported the sequence and set the frame rate to 5fps.

I also recorded a camera shutter click separately in a quiet place and saved it as a wav file.

Anyone know how to duplicate the sound or loop it maybe, so that it syncs with each image transition in the sequence?

Thanks.

How many stills?

I use to do a lot of 'stills' work. I would import the stills as 'individual stills'. The use the Animation function in After Effects to create a composition where all the stills transitioned one to the other, using one of the options, such as cross fade, and how much time for each fade.

I would then take my 'music' and match it up with the slide sequence.

In your case, you may want to make a template composition, with 'fade from white' at each end of the 5 second clip. Place the shutter sound at the end.

Then when two clips are 'put together' the fade from white looks like a 'flash'. If 'flash effect' doesn't work for your images, then just have next shot cut in with no effect.

In this case, I'd probably 'lead' the image with the shutter sound.

Anyway, once you get a template made, you can replicate it as layers on a final composition timeline. And then use 'option drag-drop' to fill in the still image for that clip.

For more than 20-30 images this may get tedious. There could be a scripting way to do this but I've never really ventured into scripting for AE.

Oh... wait... you're asking in the Premiere section... go to After Effects for this sort of stuff...

The standard CTRL-C for copy and CTRL+V for Paste works on clips in the sequence. Copy once and paste as often as you need to duplicate.
