Help with Compressor for a slow computer FCP7

I am using FCP 7 on my macbook pro... my macbook pro is awesome but I am burning the DVD that will be played in an old PC laptop. i used the "DVD fastest encode" thinking that would perhaps not be as good of quality so that the PC laptop could play it... right now, the DVD player of the PC laptop is very jerky in playback... could someone walk me thru what settings to use that might keep the PC from lagging and being so jerky...
Or perhaps I should burn it to be played by Windows Media Player in stead... how would I go about that?
 
i am currently uploading the HD footage to youtube and then i am going to download it from youtube as FLV and then just drag that file onto a USB and pop the USB into the old PC and drag the FLV file to the desktop... surely a file size as small as FLV will play with out the hiccups...
any other suggestions?
