help with canon lens

when using my 35 adapter i can't change my aperture setting. it stays wide open all the time. i understand this is a common problem with canon fd lenses due to the design. does anyone know a way to fix this?

I have asked if the theory of changing aperture settings in CANON EOS lenses using a CANON still camera and then putting the lens back to the adapter is valid bat never got a posittive answer from someone that actually did it in reality. Is this the way you did it ?

I don't have a 35 adapter but yes it works. I have done this with all my EOS lenses.

piece of toothpick jammed in the spring loaded switch on the back of the lens to keep it open did it. now my aperture ring works on the adapter.
