Help with best export file format

Hi,
I had a cheap miniDV camera and always edit the footage on PPro, the loss of quality was something that I didn't care much because of the original raw footage was a crap.
But now I have a DVX100B and when exporting from PPro image quality suffers noticeable loss of quality.

I don't apply any effects or color correction to the footage, just some cuts for testing.

What codec should I use to export for maximum quality?

I know I'm doing something wrong in the process.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
I'm shooting 4:3 at 24p, editing on PC PPro CS3.

Thanks so much!

I'm just testing the camera, and learning how to get the best from it.
Right now I don't need to export to a specific format, just the best one for view in my PC.
I don't care if such format is large, I'm testing small clips and have plenty of space on hard drives.

Best to create a DV Project from the Preset that matches what you shoot.

I assume NTSC 24p

Export Movie (do not use Media Encoder) and in the Settings Menu 'Video' -uncheck the "Recompress" Box.

Thats the best quality you can get out of your source material. (Best viewed on an external monitor)

If you want to start encoding or transcoding ,you need to play around a bit and find the best one for the end use but they all usually involve compression and therefore some loss.
