help with an effect in Vegas

Hey everyone...

Working on editing my second film, THE FOUR, and i've become the editor since my "paid" editor bailed on me... it's all good, i just need maybe some advice with an effect.

i have a guy that needs to die. ha ha... basically, the ideal situation would be for him to die via insect attack, but not sure how to do this. He was already filmed, and lives a distance away (so green screen out of the question).... Any ideas? Even if we were to have bugs flying by him, and maybe i could do something to his skin-? relatively short scene of him dying....like 3-4 seconds.

Filmed HVX200a, and using Vegas Pro 9.

So you have some shots of him flailing around as if just maybe he's being attacked by something airborne?

Maybe a couple of seconds of that, overlaid with keyed footage of an insect swarm (and some screaming sound effects of course). Then cut to a close-up of what appears to be the same actor covered in insects (but is actually an identically dressed extra) dying on the ground.
