HELP! Viewer vs Canvas with 24p

I finally got everything straightened out with capturing and working with 24PA and anamorphic footage. my only probelm now is... the viewer is showing 30 frames?? why is this and is there a setting to change that. it is hard to use match frame and such with this going on. how can i fix it??
 
Check the sequence settings. Is it set to 23.98? If not then you'll need to create a new sequence that is since you can't change the fps of a sequence after he fact.
Now output to video will be at 29.97 since pullodwn will added when played back to firewire.
 
yeah it's set to 23.98. the canvas shows 24 frames but the viewer does not. what do you mean by,
