HELP: Using the new EOS FCP movie plug in - E1 - Anyone have trouble importing?

Just got the new EOS movie plug in FCP 7. Went to log and transfer my raw 5d footage from a folder on my harddrive. FCP said that the footage was an unsupported file format or structure etc..

I thought that this new plug in is suppose to solve the problem of having to transcode the footage outside of fcp like in compressor or whatever.

Anybody getting this error?

This was the original article i was reading about this plug in for fcp 7 and eos 5d footage. Maybe some one can clear this problem up.

I think you need the entirety of the DCIM folder intact for the plugin to work, including the movie thumbnail files.

This is why it's usually best to just use Disk Utility to make images of all your cards, unless you're dealing with huge files from P2 or any other i-frame codecs.

I noticed when i named the folder back to the original EOS_DIGITAL and DCIM it worked. Is this a bug in the plug in you think??

I think it just needs the DCIM folder, because I rename entire cards all the time and I've never had a problem with FCP reading them.
